Welcome to Farooq Kindergarten

Kindergarten is an approach that introduces children to education before joining a Primary School.

This Pre School learning is achieved based on playing, singing, engaging in activities such as writing, drawing, and social interaction to take forward the transition from home to school.

Farooq Kindergarten was established from Academic Year 1976 - 1977.

Starting with two divisions for Senior KG and a strength of 40 Boys and 29 Girls it introduced Junior KG and Nursery.

It has blossomed, number of divisions have increased to 11 in step with the rising number of our scholars 210 Boys and 212 Girls.

Children

Nursery

A Nursery School or Play School or Creche is a Pre School, an Educational Establishment that offers early childhood education and care to children before they begin compulsory education in a Primary School.

Junior KG

In the years before children go to school, it becomes more and more difficult to keep them happily occupied. They are able to run, climb well out of reach, pedal a tricycle over a considerable distance. They are curious about electrical and mechanical appliances at home, they want to know about the person who brings the mail, the bus driver, the old lady who walks with a cane, and about other children.

Senior KG

Provides a place where a child’s curiosity may be satisfied and organized, is the time to Pre School, prepare the child to read text in text books of Standard I, be receptive to the introduction of new concepts, move forward in mathematics and other subjects.

Indoor Games

Playtime includes character play with doctor kits and carpenter tools, fruits and vegetables to explain shapes, colours and spellings, puzzles, wooden blocks to build, beads to count and separate in different colours, rings of different dimensions, board games, flash cards, wooden alphabets to make 2 and 3 letter words.

Extra Curricular Activities

Activities are conducted to develop confidence, skills, language, socialisation and constructive habits. They are linked to what is taught in class rooms, played in playtime.
